WHAT IS LACROSSE
Lacrosse originated centuries ago as an indigenous stickball game played by First American tribes throughout the eastern half of North America. Today, the game has evolved to become one of the fastest growing sports in the United States and has spread to dozens of nations throughout the world.

Detroit United Lacrosse is a citywide youth program dedicated to provide youth in the city the opportunity to play lacrosse, the country’s oldest and fastest growing sport. At Detroit United Lacrosse, youth will also become a part of the larger lacrosse community and able to access the connections and resources that come with this tight knit group bonded in sport.

Detroit City Lacrosse is for players of all ages. We are focused on growing the sport of lacrosse with Detroit’s youth, ages 7-17.
LEARN
Detroit City Lacrosse provides opportunities for student athletes to learn both on the field and in life. With life skills ingrained in the program, youth will continue to expand their educational horizons.
GROW
With access to lacrosse’s network of players, coaches, alumni, Detroit City Lacrosse particpant will have a community of support to assist them through the program and in life.
Detroit United Lacrosse is a citywide youth organization dedicated to developing student athletes of character and integrity who will serve as positive members of the community.
